Hi!
Last year I have tried a new way of powerbocking. It is the most dangerous thing I have ever tried with my stilts since I started jumping 3 years ago. I would not recommand this to beginer. I wrapped the stilts feets in a aggressive bike tire to get grip on the various surface I would face in the woods. I would also reccomend that you wear extra protection to the head as you get LOT of air and speed. It is important like any extreeme sport that you get rest if you get tired. If you fail to notice a drop in your ability, you could get seriously injured.

So! I went to a local mountain bike trail that has a lot of nice downhill parts, rocks, gaps, streams, etc.. As you may know, going downhill with stilts is a hell of a rush. I got 35km/h on a radar on a hard surface. I could have run faster but the fear was too intense... In the begining, I was just going for a stilts walk in the woods to enjoy the air freshness and the cooling shadows of the trees since it was a great hot summer day. In a short matter of time, I got to the highest point around. I was feeling confident and well warmd'up. I started to walk down the summit. Walking downhill was difficult and unnatural. I commenced to bounce a little to control my descend speed. As a matter of fact, it turned out to be easyer than walking. I no time I improved my confidence. I got more power in the stilts as ever since each step resulted in a high drop. When you start a full run the acceleration is intense. Any big obstacles was a real fun to jump over or climb on. The amount of effort to run and jump was mutch less significant than on flat ground. I could maintain a good cadency for a longer time. Later that day, I scared the crap out of myself. In a full run, I got in a situation without escape. I had no choice but to atempt a leap over a rocky stream. The addrenaline rush was incredible as I flew over the greatest gap I ever jumped. I landed the jump safely with total control but I felt I should not push my luck any further. Keeping in mind that my perception was increased by the natural drug I got in my veins, I decided I could be more tired than I felt. I walked back to the car. I got no fall, no injury, no problem wathever.

Later that year I returned striding the track again. I faced others challenges like ice, wet roots, slipping rocks. I hurted myself more than once but I never ever removed my stilts till I got back to the car.

Mountain stilting is awsome!

I will probably wear my go pro next time I will go so you can have a idea of the acutal thing. I do not like to capture movie of me cuz I feel watched and it makes me fail all the time Smiley lol. I hope I will not post a video of me at the hospital.

What resolution would you guys like?... I may use full 1080p but if I drop the resolution to 720p, I get a better view angle and better framerate so I could insert "slowmo".

Anyhow, I will not edit the video soon and I may take several weeks before I post any motion picture. I will try to get some still picture in the process so I could post something light on the forum.

lol "I feel watched"

Where can you possible go wearing your Fly Jumpers where you don't feel watched?

Being watched kinda comes with the territory. But ohya, this is a forest we are talking about right. Not many people  Wink

Anyway good luck with the camera setup. You will definately need a camera man cuz the whole helmet cam idea never worked for me once. The video was way to bouncy  Angry

Too much impact to actually get any good footage. So you will definately require a camera person.

720p is more than good enough if you do manage though.  Cool
